Just in Time is a collection of short stories, each one unique in its mood and ambience. The first story, "Just in Time" is a sweet, quick tale that contemplates how our decisions may affect the future far beyond ways we can imagine. "Michelle My Belle" has a delightful creep factor. "The Train of Retribution" was one of my favorites and it oddly compelled me to think of stories I'd heard about Donald Trump's business dealings. "Rudolph's Revenge" was an interesting retelling of the tale we all know. "Evil" reminded of the old saying, "Karma is a bitch." By far, "The Soul Snatcher" was my favorite. It kept my attention from the first sentence to the last and was very satisfying. I can't say much more about this book without giving away spoilers. The stories are the perfect length to get in a quick, entertaining read before settling into bed at night. I am looking forward to Maureen Turner's newest release as she has become one of my favorite writers.Product details

The latest short story collection from this talented author and as with her other works this one didn't disappoint. It is a diverse collection of stories covering several topics. I especially liked the ones with a supernatural theme, The Ice House and SPQR. The Soul Snatcher is intriguing and thought provoking - be careful how you wish! Another favourite was the opening story, Just In Time with it's time travel theme, a very moving and well thought out story. Not forgetting poor Michelle. What did happen to her...? Michelle My Belle - very creepy! I first found Maureen Turner's books on Twitter and I have enjoyed every one. Looking forward to the next.
